ALLEGED POACHING
JAPANESE DETAINED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8 p.m.) Canberra, October 11. Alleged to have been poaching in the vicinity of Western Islands, a Japanese vessel, Yocikine Maru, has been detained. Its crew of 24 and Captain Goni have been placed aboard the Macdhui, now en route to Rabaul, where they will be charged with breaches of the fisheries and quarantine ordinance of the mandated territory of New Guinea, also with being prohibited immigrants. There are six tons of trocus shell abroad the detained vessel.
