JUVENILE DRUIDS

MONTHLY MEETING.

The monthly meeting of the Pride of the South Druids’ Lodge was presided over by the Arch Druid, Bro. C. Harvey, there being about 40 members present, also representatives of the juvenile committee.

An initiation ceremony was carried out, and two members were admitted to the lodge. After the usual business had been disposed of, the question of forming a soccer team was discussed. The matter was finally left in the hands of the Arch Druid and P.A. Bro. S. Langley to select a team and make the necessary arrangements for affiliating with the parent organization. Several members volunteered their services in connection with a proposal for raising funds; the boy obtaining the best result to receive a prize. A progress report was received in connection with the inter-lodge sports to be held in Dunedin on Labour Day. The social side of the evening was in the hands of Bros. D. Harris and E. Crosland, who entertained the gathering with several novel competitions, the winners being Bros. G. Cocklin, G. Dawson, J. Boniface and R. Skow.
