EMPIRE GAMES
NEW ZEALAND TEAM. ARRIVAL IN LONDON. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.55 p.m.) London, July 17. The New Zealand athletes for the Empire Games arrived fit and were met at Liverpool street station by Sir James Leigh-Wood, chairman of the British Games committee, and Dr. Arthur Porritt, who arranged for immediate training in St. Mary’s Hospital ground. He is discouraging entertaining except for a visit to Wembley on Thursday and a week-end at Oxford to meet J. E. Lovelock. The team is quietly quartered at the Tudor Hotel, Lancaster Gate.
