RAILWAY MISHAP
CROMWELL LINE WAGGONS ROLL DOWN BANK NO CASUALTIES SUFFERED (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 15. The third railway mishap in as many weeks occurred to-day when three waggons attached to the rear of the train from Dunedin to Cromwell were derailed while the train was between Huripo and Lauder. Two of the vehicles were thrown from the permanent way and rolled down a bank, but the other waggon remained on the track, though off the rails. No one travelling in any of the waggons was affected and there were no casualties, but the track, permanent way and the vehicles are understood to have suffered considerable damage. As far as could be ascertained tonight, there was no apparent reason for the accident. The breakdown train was equipped with the necessary equipment assembled at Dunedin, and it left for the scene of the accident at 6 o’clock.
