GORE GOLF CLUB

EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING. As a result of the decision of the annual meeting of the Gore Golf Club to hold the opening day on a Sunday the president (Mr R. Fisher) tendered his resignation to a subsequent meeting of the committee. It was then decided to hold an extraordinary general meeting of members of the club, this being held on Monday night. The proceedings were in committee, but it was subsequently reported that a recommendation of the committee that the decision to hold the opening on a Sunday be rescinded was carried. The meeting urged Mr Fisher to reconsider his resignation as president, and after the hope that he would continue in office had been generally expressed, Mr Fisher announced that he was prepared to resume his office.
