GORGE ROAD NOTES

(From Our Correspondent.)

A successful dance was conducted by the members of the Gorge Road Ladies’ Hockey Club in the Hall on Thursday. There was a large gathering of supporters and the general public, including a bus load from Invercargill. A surplus will be shown after all expenses are met. Music for the dance was supplied by Rabbidge’s Dance Band, extras being played by Messrs E. Hunter and D. Carswell. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr D. Carswell. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss I. Valli and Mr J. Holland, while a competition cake went to Mr E. Yeo.
