Statistics show that the number of visitors to France in 1932 were 944,000; this is about 1,000,000 fewer than in 1931. It is expected that the figure for this year will be lower still. While persons with normal hearing have difficulty in listening to a conversation in the midst of noise, persons afflicted with certain abnormal deafness can actually hear better in a noisy place than in a quiet one.
