SEQUEL TO CANCER TREATMENT.

(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, December 18. A message from Rockville (Maryland) states that the first case of its kind opened there to-day whan the State began ah attempt to prove in a court action that Mrs Cora Britton died as a result of a “secret cancer cure” salve applied to her breast by two physicians, who are charged with manslaughter. The woman died last May in hospital to where she was taken after nine.weeks’ treatment. The defence, pleading not guilty, testified that the treatment had been given to others with much success.
