Fatal injuries to the head were received by a pupil of St. Helier’s Bay School, Albert Leonard Tucker, aged 14, as the result of a collision between his bicycle and a motor car this morning. The boy, a son of Mr A. Tucker, had returned to his home at Walmsley Road only a few minutes earlier with the advice that he had passed the proficiency examination. The boy returned to his home after making an early visit to school to learn the examination results, and was on his way to do an errand for his mother when the accident occurred.
