CYCLONIC STORM
DEATHS IN MADRAS
TRAINS BLOWN OFF LINE
TOWN SWEPT BY SEAS
(United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Rec. 12 p.m.) Calcutta, December 18. A cyclone caused many deaths and heavy damage on the Madras coast at the week-end. Fears are entertained for the fate of the Italian steamer Felce, carrying 150 coolies, which left Cuddalore on Friday. Two passenger trains on the South Indian railway were completely blown off the line. Nobody was reported injured.
Twelve people were killed at Pondicherry, a French possession, where seas wrecked the beach protection wall and swept the town.
