REORGANIZATION PROPOSED.
COURT REJECTS PETITION

After a six-day hearing in the Chancery Court Mr Justice Maughan refused petitions for the reorganization of Dorman, Long and Company involving a reduction of capital from £11,248,000 to £1,750.000 and amalgamation with the South Durham Steel and Iron Company. ~ f Subsequently Mr Justice Bennett of the Chancery Division, granted a de-benture-holder permission to apply for leave on December 8 to serve a motion to appoint a receiver for Dorman, Long and Company.
