Wanganui hay-fever sufferers are having a bad time of it just now, the air being charged with pollen from grasses and flowers which irritates the nasal passages, causing sneezing and pains in the head. The profuse flowering of lupins in the sandy areas round about Wanganui also causes a catarrh which is accompanied by sneezing. Nasal douches with sea water are said to be effective in relieving hay fever.
