Children’s Dance
A very successful children’s fancy dress dance was held in the Kennington Hall on Thursday evening. The children, trained by Miss McDonald, of the local school, gave an excellent performance of the many and varied dances, reflecting great credit on their teacher and delighting the large number of onlookers. Mr Cloughley acted as M.C. and the members of the Kennington Women’s Institute assisted with the supper. Prizes for the best costume in each section were won by Shirley Mathieson (Tiny Tots), May Henderson (girls) and Jimmy Doherty (boys).
