AMERICAN GOLD
PURCHASES UNDER NEW PLAN. (United Press Assn. —Telegraph Copyright.) Washington, October 24. The first purchase of newly-mined gold under the Roosevelt managed currency plan will be made on Wed nesday. Official sources have indicated that the Reconstruction Finance Corporation will offer to pay more than the London and Paris gold prices.
