AGAINST INFLATION
GROUP OF U.S. SENATORS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 9.45 p.m.) New York, October 5. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times states that an antiinflation group is being formed in the Senate to combat the efforts of the inflation bloc headed by Senator Thomas (Oklahoma). Senators Glass and Robinson (Indiana) are expected to lead the anti-inflation forces, and it is expected that Senator McNary, the minority leader, will represent the Republicans, giving the effort a nonpartisan character. In the meantime the belief exists that the President will defer his decision on the monetary question until the debt negotiations have made some progress, and that in the end he may reduce the value of the dollar and stabilize it as part of a programme for the payment of foreign debts.
