TWO BULLDOGS ROUTED

ELDERLY WOMAN’S ORDEAL Single-handed, a 69-year-old woman at Glenfield, Leicester, lately fought two bulldogs that had attacked her daughter. The dogs belonged to a neighbour, and were being looked after while he was on holiday by Mrs Nicholls and her daughter, Mrs Worsley. One of the dogs attacked Mrs Worsley in the garden and bit her. Mrs Nichols held the dog off, but the other joined in the attack and Mrs Worsley was again bitten. People who were attracted by the Bcreams of the women handed them a Wooden plank over the wall, and with this Mrs Nicholls fought the dogs and forced them into a shed. Mrs Worsley was treated at a hospital for her injuries, but was allowed to go home.
