STREET BATTLE

DISTURBANCE IN DUBLIN. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) London, September 26. Following a Republican meeting in O'Connell street, Dublin, a crowd of several thousands attacked the premises of an English brewer nearby, hurling stones at the windows. The arrival of police reinforcements resulted in a pitched battle, the police with drawn batons repeatedly charging the crowd. People leaving theatres and cinemas rushed into the shops. When the street was cleared 15 young men were found to be lying injured and were sent to hospital.
