WOMEN’S DIVISION

KAUANA BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Kauana branch of the W.D.F.U. was held on September 20, when Mrs W. H. King, in the absence of the president, presided over a good attendance of members. Mesdames King and Calder reported on the executive meeting held at Invercargill. It was decided to make a wool quilt to hand in to the Invercargill branch to give to a needy case. The monthly competition “Best Article From A Flour-bag,” brought forth some good entries. Afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames McKenzie and Price.
