SPECIAL AWARDS. (From Our Correspondent.) Special awards in connection with the Winton Flower Show last week were made as follows:— Cut Flowers.—Most points in classes 1 to 9, Mrs W. Chrystal (Lochiel) 1; most points'in classes 12 to 22, Mrs P. A. Thomson (Invercargill); most points in narcissi (society’s trophy) Mrs Chrystal; most points in flowers, other than narcissi, Mrs J. C. Cooper (Lochiel); champion bloom trumpet, Mrs J. H. Thomson; champion bloom, other than trumpet, Mrs P. A. Thomson; most points in cut flowers (children), Rosalind Chrystal (Lochiel). Floral decorations:—Most points in section (Rein cup), Dr. M. Gow (Winton).
Vegetables:—Most points in classes 86 to 90, Mrs H. Liddell; most points in section, Mrs J. H. Thomson (Thomson’s Crossing). Produce: Most points in classes 99 to 112, Mrs H. E. Pearse (Winton); most points in classes 113 to 123, Miss D. Fidler (Forest Hill); most points in classes 128 to 140, Mrs H. E. Pearse; most points in classes 143 to 160, Miss D. Fidler; most points in section, Miss D. Fidler; runner-up, Miss G. Symons (Winton). Industrial.—Most points in classes 161 to 182, Miss C. Grant (Limehills); most points in classes 184 to 205, Miss C. Grant; most points in section (McKenzie cup), Miss C. Grant; most points in industrial (children), Miss Doreen McDermott (Winton). Most points in show, Miss C. Grant 1; Mrs P. A. Thomson, runner-up.
