BEQUESTS IN A WILL. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, August 29. His Honour Mr Justice Reed, in a Supreme Court judgment, held the bequests in the will of Minnie Elizabeth Simmonds, late of Thames, of £4OO to the wounded and disabled soldiers of New Zealand, and £lOO to a home for wounded sailors of the British Empire, to be charitable gifts within the meaning of authorities, and directed the Public Trustee, as the present trustee of the will, to submit a scheme for their disposition, and submit such scheme for the approval of the Attorney-General.
