BASKETBALL

SCHOOL MATCHES AT GORE. Two South Otago basketball teams travelled to Gore yesterday to play annual matches with the Gore High School. In the A grade Gore defeated the visiting team by 13 points to 12 after a very evenly contested match. In the B grade Gore proved too good for the visitors, winning by 19 points to 14.

The referees in both matches were Misses Fairbum and Woodhead.
