BIBLE SOCIETY

ANNUAL MEETING,

The Invercargill branch of the Bible Society of Otago and Southland held its annual meeting in the Rosewood last evening. In the absence of the president (the Rev, C. J. Tocker) the Rev. C. H. Olds presided ovei’ a good attendance.

The annual report and balancesheet, read by the hon. secretary, Mr D. J. Miller, showed that £5O 17/— had been collected.

Interesting addresses were given by Mr H. W. Brohn from Transjordania and the Rev. Thomas Miller, of Dunedin, secretary of the Otago Society. At the close of the meeting supper was served and a social hour spent, and Pastor Bryan and Mr Tocker, who arrived late, moved a vote of thanks to the speakers and this was carried by acclamation.
