DOUGLAS SYSTEM CONDEMNED. (United Pros.: Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Sydney, June 23. At the request of the New South Wales Government, Mr T. Waites, Government Statistician, furnished a report on the Douglas Social Credit System which Mr Waites describes as utterly impracticable, contributing little or nothing to the problems confronting the nations. Litvinoff respecting the embargo and the imprisoned Vickers employees. It is stated that the Soviet is anxious to secure a renewal of the trade relations. HOP INDUSTRY BUSY. All available supplies have been disposed of, and it is expected that the new season’s crop will be cleared at good prices.
