LARGE ENTRIES
NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW. EXHIBITS WELL UP TO STANDARD. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, June 14. The 31st National Dairy Show under the auspices of the Manawatu West Coast A. and P. Association opened in dull and threatening weather, with a good attendance of the public. The exhibits in the competitive classes are well up to the previous standard and there are large entries of dairy produce, butter exhibits numbering 226 and cheese 239. Numerous breed societies are holding their annual meeting in conjunction with the show', which extends till Saturday. To-day judging is proceeding in all classes, and in addition there is the Manawatu Poultry Association’s Show, for which seven North Island championships are being awarded.
