FORTIFICATION NOTES

ENCHRE. (From Our Correspondent). The extended night of the weekly euchre was held in the school on Friday evening June 2, when there was a good attendance. Mrs H. Wilson and Mr T. Templeton were the winners of the first prizes, while Miss M. Templeton and Mr H. Wilson won the consolation prizes. The aggregate prizes were won by Miss O. Templeton and Mr T. Templeton. After supper, dancing was indulged in, music being supplied by Mr L. Braid. Personal. The Misses Maisie and Olive Templeton are spending an extended holiday with relatives and friends in Christchurch and the North Island. Miss U. Fallow returns this week from a holiday spent in Dunedin. While there, she attended the Columba College Old Girls’ Reunion. Miss E. Templeton, Invercargill, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr and Mrs C. Templeton.
