COUNCILLOR FEARS COST. NOTICE OF MOTION GIVEN. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 9. Councillor Duncan has given notice to move at the next meeting of the city council that to enable a review of the question of the future site of the central fire station as well as for other reasons that the council decide to take no further action in regard to the proposals previously made for the establishment of a civic centre on the block occupied by ■ the existing fire station and other buildings. Councillor Duncan that he did not believe the people of Wellington ever realized what a civic centre would cost or that they had ever wanted the scheme or that they wanted it now.
