TAXI IN COLLISION

PASSENGER AWARDED DAMAGES. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 11. General damages amounting to £3OO were awarded Wyvern Jack Russell, a salesman, against Walter Archibald Bell, a hotelkeeper, also carrying on business as taxi proprietor under the name of Gold Band Cabs.

Russell was riding in a taxi when a collision occurred at the junction of streets, receiving severe injuries including concussion. Liability was admitted and £129 special damages decided on. The jury was asked to decide the general damages.
