DEBT PAYMENTS
POSTPONEMENT UNLIKELY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 1.5 a.m.) London, May 11. The Times says it is convinced that a request for a postponement of debt payments would be foolhardy. Mr Roosevelt has decided not to ask Congress for a moratorium for June payments. The American Government will not consent now or later to deal with debtors as a group, but prefers to discuss the question individually concurrently with the World Conference. Its success or failure will determine the debt issue.
