NEW ZEALAND LEGION

MEETING AT WOODLANDS. An enthusiastic meeting of the New Zealand Legion was held at Woodlands last evening. Mr W. Bell presided over an attendance of about 40. The speakers were Mr W. Macalister and Dr Pottinger, who gave instructive addresses on the aims and objects of the Legion. After several questions had been satisfactorily answered by the speakers, the Rev. G. Renwick, in thanking them, stated that those present agreed with the aims and objects of the Legion and he moved that a centre, with Mr W. Bell as convener, be formed at Woodlands. This was seconded by Mr J. Caird and carried unanimously. Practically all of those present enrolled as members. At the Riverton meeting this evening the speakers will be Messrs W. Macalister (leader of the Southland Division) and F. G. Hall-Jones.
