N.Z. LEGION

MEETING AT MATAURA. A meeting of the New Zealand Legion was held last evening at Mataura. Mr Alan Smythe, who presided, following his preliminary remarks introduced Messrs S. M. Macalister and G. C. Cruickshank, who represented the division, to an audience of 30 local residents who displayed a keen interest in the addresses. These were on lines similar to those at other centres. At the conclusion of a successful meeting a good number of members was enrolled.
