TIMARU WOOLLEN MILLS. AFTER TWO YEARS IDLENESS. I (Per United Press Association) Timaru, April 22. It has been definitely announced that the Timaru woollen mills, which have been closed for over two years, will shortly re-open. Negotiations between a local syndicate and the liquidators of Macky, Logan and Caldwell, the owners, resulted in the syndicate acquiring the mill property on satisfactory terms. The machinery has been well cared for during the idle period and is ready to commence manufacturing.
