The death is announced of Mr William Harry Tietkens, F.R.G.S., aged 89. He was probably the last of the old school of Australian explorers.

London, April 19. The death is announced of the Rev. John McNeill.
Mr McNeill was bom in 1854 at Houston, Renfrewshire. The son of a quarryman, he started in the railway service. In 1877 he began to study for the ministry of the Presbyterian Church, and in 1886 he was ordained and received a charge. In 1889 he was inducted to the Regent Square Presbyterian Church London. He started as a mission preacher with D. L. Moody at Aberdeen in 1892, and travelled all over Britain and the dominions and colonies. In 1910 he accepted the pastorate of Free St. George’s Presbyterian Church, Liverpool.
