Raffles; vocal quartette, Mesdames Bird and Potter, Messrs Smeaton and Homby; song, Mr Bates. Miss Howard played the accompaniments. On Wednesday afternoon members of the Anglican Church Guild 1 held a party for the Sunday School children. The weather was beautifully fine and a most enjoyable time was spent by all. Afternoon tea was served and each child received a Christmas gift. The members of the R.0.A.8. Lodge held a Christmas treat for the children on Wednesday evening in the hall. A lively time was spent in games etc., and everyone received a gift from the Christmas tree. Tea was provided by the ladies. The lovely weather prevailing just now has given plenty of scope to swimming enthusiasts who are taking full advantage of the hot spell.
