PAYMENT IN PRODUCE
RUSSIAN FARMERS’ TAXES. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Moscow, December 20. The system of collecting dairy produce from farms has been supplanted by a new method under which the producers pay their taxes in milk, butter and cheese. There has already been an outcry against the injustice of a fixed scale of values. For example a farmer is credited with only 4d per litre for his milk, the market value of which is 10/-.
