In a letter received from Bluff Borough Council, permission was giVen the committee to let side-show sites and sell water on regatta day under the usual conditions. The matter of securing pick-up boats was left to the chairman and Mr P. McQuarrie. It was left to the chairman and secretary to arrange the usual regatta insurances. The same were appointed to confer with the harbourmaster regarding the most suitable berth for the tug on regatta day. Mr A. E. Budd was appointed supervisor of ticket sales for harbour trips, the selection of an assistant being held over in the meantime. Mr K. McKenzie was appointed a starter (vice Mr Budd) to act with Mr J. Forde. Various questions regarding sailing races, such as the marking of the course, starting times, etc., were left to the sailing committee to deal with. Mr W. Burtenshaw (club captain) reported that a quantity of kelp had made its appearance on the rowing course. It was decided to attend to the cutting of this at an early date. The committee will meet again on December 28, when entries will be received and courses drawn.
