AUCKLAND CONTROVERSY. RENT OF TOWN HALL REFUSED. (Per United Press Association.) “Auckland, November 1. The Finance Committee of the City Council has decided not to allow the Town Hall to be used in future for faith healings. The Mayor, Mr Hutchison, said that in view of the controversy created by recent public meetings held in the Town Hall by A. H. Dallimore, the committee considered it undesirable to let it again for such purposes. Dallimore said to-day that the council was within its legal rights. Next Sunday’s meeting for which he had paid the fee for the Town Hall, was to have been the last of the series. He would now hire a theatre.
