FREE LABOUR
WAITARA FREEZING WORKS RESUME. (Per United Press Association.) New Plymouth, October 25, The Waitara freezing works recommenced to-day with free labour. Arrangements were made whereby all classes of stock could be dealt with. Buyers have been instructed to proceed. A union meeting decided on the instruction of the National Council to withdraw safety men on commencement of free labour, but the management will be able to effect a replacement to-morrow. The union president stated that the determination of the men was stronger than ever not to return.
