Ernest Toms, aged 44, finance officer, and Arnold Hore, auditor, in the New Zealand High Commissioner’s office, were remanded on bail at Bow Street, being charged with stealing £3O on September 8 and £54 on September 14 belonging to the Government. Counsel, in applying for bail, said Toms had been 20 years in the Govemment’s employ, and despite being suspended had given all the information possible.
