DUTY ON IMPORTATIONS. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 6. Mr Frank Campbell of Wellington was elected president of the Manufacturers’ Federation, and Mr Spears, the retiring president, was elected vicepresident. The assistance of the federation in opposing any move to abolish or reduce the duties on imported motor bodies was sought in a letter from a local motor body building firm and the matter was referred to the executive of the federation.
