SPECTACULAR SERVICE

RATANA AT WELLINGTON. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, October 6. Ratana, the Maori “prophet,” with his band and a number of his clergy and followers is at present holding gatherings at Lyall Bay in the grounds of the residence of the late Hon. Te Heu Heu Tukino. The services are spectacular affairs in which the brass band plays, the ministers preach and the girls do poi dances and hakas with graceful abandon. It is understood the presence of Ratana and his party in Wellington at the present time has some political significance.
