INVERCARGILL CITY CLUB.
SATURDAY’S ROAD RACE. A meeting of the Invercargill City Cycling Club was held last evening at which several professional riders were present. It was decided to hold a road race on Saturday from Invercargill to Woodlands and back, to start at 2.45 p.m. The club’s starter and timekeeper is Mi' W. A. Brown. WAIMATE TO CHRISTCHURCH. RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, September 26. The Waimate to Christchurch road race next Saturday has attracted 134 entries, this constituting a record. The scratch men are W. J. Lamberton, H. G. Watson, and H. J. Crofts, all. of Christchurch. Other handicaps include: lOmins.: A. N. Ralston (Dunedin) and L. Bellringer (New Plymouth) 16mins.: C. W.
