AMERICAN WHEAT

CHINA BUYING LARGE QUANTITY. DOMESTIC PRICE MAY RISE. (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 8.5 p.m.) Washington, September 26. Representatives of the Federal Farm Board and the Reconstruction Finance Corporation held c conference with Mr Hoover and the Secretary of Agriculture, Mr Hyde, at the White House to-day and discussed plans for the export of surplus farm products. The first project under consideration was China’s bid for 15,000,000 bushels of wheat on credit, the fulfilment of which would require the purchase of some wheat by the board as stocks are insufficient. It therefore requested the corporation’s assistance financially. It is believed that this would force the domestic price of wheat up sharply, possibly as much as ton cents a bushel.
