The ice-breaker Siberia Kov, belonging to the Soviet Arctic Expedition which is attempting to discover a north-east passage from Archangel to Vladivostok, lost a propeller among the icebergs and hopes to drift into an area of rarefied ice in the Behring Strait, where she can be picked up and towel by a steamer. The Siberia Kov wirelessed, “All well.”
