During the course of his visits to Rotorua last week the Minister of Native Affairs, Sir Apirana Ngata, officially sanctioned the formation of a Maori museum to be housed in the new Maori arts and crafts building at Ohinemutu. In accordance with Sir Apirana’s directions steps will also be taken to provide the new building with a characteristically Maori exterior and special carvIng will be carried out in that .connection.
