GROUND COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting of the Ground Committee was held on Friday, February 12. The following were present: Messrs J. West, (chairman), H. Porte, J. Haywood, C. Robb, R. Butcher, J. Bell, E. Frisby, W. North, S. Frisby, F. Ashley. The chairman explained the reasons for calling the meeting after which the following gentlemen were appointed to the executive committee: Messrs J. West, A. Hamilton, H. Porte, J. Haywood, J. Mcllwrick, C. Robb and R. Butcher. Mr F. J. Ashley was appointed secretary and treasurer to the committee. After the forming of the executive had been disposed of the following were appointed to the general committee: E. Frisby, S. Frisby, T. Mcßae, H. North, D. Anderson, W. Gill, J. Bell and J. Smith. With a view to improving the finances of the committee, it was decided to hold a bushcraft demonstration and concert to be followed by a dance on Friday, March 11, 1932. The officials appointed to take charge of the bushcraft events were, Messrs H. Porte, J. Smith, R. Butcher, supervisors; Mr W. North, starter; and Mr Cocker handicapper. It was decided that the bushcraft events be held under the scaled handicap principle, the entries for which to be in the hands of the secretary not later than March 5.
