LONDON “MASCOT”
STATUE OF EROS RE-ERECTED. (United Tress Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7 p.m.) London, December 28. A London “mascot,” Gilbert’s aluminium statue of Eros, was re-erected in Piccadilly Circus at mid-night. The statue was removed in 1925 during the reconstruction of an underground station. It has been cleansed and now gleams in silver beauty.
