WORTH FIVE SHILLINGS
CONSTITUENTS OF MAN’S BODY.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, November 24. The chemical constituents of a man’s body, whether he be a village idiot or an Einstein, could be purchased for 5/-, said Dr F. E. Lawson when lecturing at ths Caxton Hall. He gave the following analysis of a ten-stone man: Enough water to fill a ten-gallon barrel, enough fat for seven bars of soap, enough carbon for 9000 lead pencils, enough phosphorous to make 2200 match heads, enough magnesium for one dose of salts, enough iron to make a medium-sized nail, enough lime to whitewash a hen coop, and enough sulphur to rid one dog of fleas.
