CREDIT BY FRAUD
CRICKETER SENTENCED.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, November 24. Alick Handford, aged 62, a former wellknown professional cricketer, was sentenced to 28 days’ imprisonment at Aylesbury for obtaining credit by fraud. The police stated that Handford, while searching for employment, had stayed at various provincial hotels without paying. He went to New Zealand in 1912 as an M.C.C. coach and remained there till 1927.
