LOWER WAGES

GER.MAN RECOMMENDATION. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec 7.0 p.m.) Oerlin, November 24. A reduction of wages and salaries simultaneously with a decrease in the cost of living to prevent an intolerable shrinkage of purchasing power is one of the main conclusions of the Economic Court formed under President Hindenberg to guide the Government in drafting fresh emergency decrees. It was decided that public emergency utilities should reduce charges and that rents be lowered. It rejected inflation, and urged the clearing up of the reparations and private debts problems. Trade unions oppose the decisions.
