WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED
BILL READ FIRST TIME. (From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, June 25. In reply to a question from Mr W. J. Jordan regarding the supply of works for the unemployed by local bodies, Mr Forbes moved the first reading of the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill pro forma in the House this afternoon. The Bill was read the first time.
